TIC (January, 2017) – Trauma-Informed Care is a whole-school approach to creating physically and psychologically safe learning environments. To achieve our mission statement, Educating and Empowering for Life, all employees must focus on building positive relationships with school stakeholders (students, colleagues, parents/guardians, community members). Classroom aides and paraprofessionals play an important role in TIC, as do all classified and certified employees. The 10 behavior management tips below were written for aides and paraprofessionals; however, they are great reminders for all of us who manage challenging student behaviors.
