FCS Cares Shout-Out! – October 2020
The sixth FCS Cares, Trauma-Informed Care inspired SHOUT-OUT, goes to Mr. Mike Scoles.
Lincoln Elementary staff would like to send a big shout out to our principal, Mr. Mike Scoles! Mike has been a consistent, strong and dedicated leader from the moment he stepped into our building five years ago. Here are what staff members have to say about Mike:
“Mike has bent over backwards to accommodate the new Trojan Academy curriculum. He has met with me multiple times to have discussions as to how to solve problems in relation to students and curriculum. He has demonstrated empathy as we try to figure this new way of presentation of education out.”
“Mike is an excellent leader to the Lincoln Family and always provides a positive and encouraging presence! He ensures each and every staff member feels as though he/she belongs, makes time in his extremely busy schedule to provide a listening ear when it is needed, constantly keeps his staff informed, and most importantly supports ALL Lincoln Elementary staff in any way possible. I am so thankful to have Mike as a principal!”
“Mike has a professional, positive attitude and is supportive, encouraging, and answers questions or addresses issues in a timely, effective, and kind manner. He is approachable, caring, intelligent, and helpful. Mike interacts with staff and students daily and is consistently visible and available throughout the day. His leadership skills are commendable, as he inspires and motivates staff and students to strive to achieve their fullest potential on a daily basis.”
“Mike does a great job learning some basic sign language to communicate directly with our students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The students really appreciate that connection directly. It helps them to feel included in our school.”
