Findlay City Schools is expected to welcome back teachers, principals, administrators, and staff during the annual Findlay City Schools convocation ceremony to be held on Monday, August 22nd, 9:00 a.m., at Donnell Stadium. In the event of rain, the event will be held at Findlay High School.

Convocation celebrates the new school year and will include remarks by Mayor Chrystina Muryn; Interim Superintendent; Mrs. Krista Crates Miller; and Dr. Michael Scoles, Interim Assistant Superintendent. Several awards will be presented to staff members during the event: Middle School Teacher of the Year; FHS Millstream Teacher of the Year; Elementary Teacher of the Year; Classified Employee of the Year; and The Mandy Friar Trojan of the Year Award. The awards are sponsored by the following local businesses: National Lime & Stone; Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.; Hancock Federal Credit Union; and Friends Office. Staff members nominated staff members for the awards during the 2021-22 school year.

Staff members will be greeted by the mascot, Tommy Trojan, the band, cheerleaders, and Pantasia. Hancock Federal Credit Union partnered with the district to provide free t-shirts for all staff members. Ohio Shirt Company will provide free Kona Ice.
