About the FHS Alumni Association
The The Findlay High School Alumni Association got into “full swing” in mid-1998. Since that time, the association has implemented many programs and events.
These include:
- Implemented a campaign to have 350 new chairs donated for the R.L. Heminger Auditorium.
- Continue to sell engraved brick pavers for our courtyard; 325 are already installed, just south of the cafeteria.
- A FHS Historical Library including items dating back to the 1880’s.
- Give assistance to all class reunions each year, providing them with updated addresses, help with mailings, provide the chairperson with a “Reunion Planner” booklet, etc.
- In 1998, started a FHS Alumni Scholarship Fund. It is now a $2,500 scholarship.
- Honor a Distinguished Alumni each year.
- Annual “Musical Showcase”, bringing back alumni to perform with proceeds going for special alumni projects.
- Sponsor FHS War Veteran’s Annual Recognition Dinner.
- Assist teachers locating alumni for sports and academics Wall of Fame.

Your membership will provide the finances needed to support the Alumni Association and its programs. We appreciate members who have contributed to date. The following memberships will be used for the activities where they are most needed.

Roger Powell, FHS Alumni Director, has written a book entitled, “Did You Know…. a collection of anecdotes of FHS & more”. Its 75 pages packed with all kinds of information dating back to the 1800’s, lots of stats, black & white and color photos. The cost is $12.00 + $ 3.00 shipping. Proceeds benefit the Findlay High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Get yours now before they are all sold! Years from 1975 through 2009 are priced at only $10, the 2010 edition is priced at only $30, the 2011 edition is priced at $65, and the 2012 & 2013 editions are only $75.

Findlay High School Historical Library
The FHS Alumni Historical Library was introduced in January 2000. Since that time, many items have been donated and we now have an extensive library of yearbooks, periodicals, newspaper clippings, video and audio tapes, Blue and Gold newspapers, and much more. Some items date back to the late 1800s.

Alumni Scholarship Fund
The Findlay High School Scholarship Fund began in 1998 when the proceeds from our first Alumni Musical Showcase were placed in this fund. Since that time, we have had eighteen more musicals to supplement this scholarship and are now awarding $2,500 each year. We would like to increase this yearly amount with your help. This is your opportunity to contribute to the fund on an individual basis.
If you would like to contribute to the Alumni Scholarship Fund, please complete the following:
FHS Courtyard Pavers
You, who have been part of FHS in the past, now have an opportunity to become a permanent part of its future! Purchase a brick inscribed with your name and graduation year. Honor friends, family members, the memory of a loved one, or former teachers. The inscribed bricks are placed in our courtyard at Findlay High School. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Alumni Association to support student scholarships, school related events and projects.
You may purchase any number of 4″ by 8″ bricks at the cost of $40 each! Each brick has a maximum of 3 lines with a limit of 15 characters (letters and spaces) per line. To order – fill out the following form: (make copies of the form to order 2 or more bricks).
